Black Boys WILL Get Love MBK Cohort Nature & Golf Professional Development Trip in Syracuse, NY

June 13, 2025 from 10 am - 3 pm  

The MBK Cohort at Binghamton High School will take part in an exciting professional development trip to Syracuse, New York, designed to foster leadership, personal growth, and team-building skills. Students will begin the day immersed in environmental education and outdoor exploration at Green Lakes State Park, where they will engage in nature-based learning activities that emphasize environmental awareness and wellness. Following this, they will participate in a golf skills workshop at First Tee Syracuse—an organization committed to youth development through the game of golf and its core values.

This experience offers students the opportunity to learn in new environments, practice discipline, and represent themselves and their school with excellence.

Expectations for the Day:

• Close-toed shoes are required for both nature activities and golf.

• Dress in layers and bring a jacket, as the weather may change.

• Bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the day.

• Wear appropriate, school-appropriate attire that is comfortable for walking and participating in outdoor activities.

• Students are expected to be on their best behavior, demonstrating respect, maturity, and the values of the MBK program at all times.

This trip is an extension of the classroom and an opportunity to grow—academically, socially, and personally—while having fun and trying something new.

This is a one-day program taking place on Friday, June 13, 2025 from 10 am - 3 pm in Syracuse, New York
